    The Missing Link

The Missing Link —”EATING MY SECRETS” 2019.  We are a country obsessed with weight. We are a country obsessed with food. We are a country obsessed with thinness.  We can’t stop talking about it. For some it is non-stop, making food the enemy. We are doomed when a morsel of forbidden food hits our lips. Carbs are making us fat. Fats are making us fat. Soda is making us fat. Video games are making us fat. Oprah is losing weight; Oprah is gaining weight. The government has declared a war on obesity. The medical industry does not have answers. We hate fat people, we hate ourselves for being fat. Diets are everywhere telling us how to eat, live and think.  The more we talk and think about it,…

    Self-esteem, How is yours!

Many times, we use the words self-esteem and body image in the same breath, but they are not the same. While body image is related to how you feel about your body, self-esteem refers to how much you like yourself, the total package. How do you appreciate who you are and all of your individuality, including your personal skills and accomplishments. Self esteem can also be based on how you think other people look at you. If you catch someone watching you in public do you automatically judge yourself negative, when they could be admiring how you are dressed.  Maybe they could be thinking they know you or have you met you previously. But if all you can think about…

    SELF-ACCEPTANCE

“The most terrifying thing is to accept oneself completely.” ― C.G. Jung I began to think about what message I wanted to share with YOU as we move into 2019. Should I write about NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS, words we proclaim in January only to be but a passing thought by February. I could tell you the importance of good eating and how detrimental this way of life is to your health. The newest diet will be showcasing itself soon, maybe that is where this is headed. That will surely put you on an emotional roller coaster only to complicate your life. I could set you up on a fitness program. Yep, thought about them all but I decided to go…
